Ruben Sevumyants is the owner of Pomogu (pomogusa.com), a personal consulting service he started in 2020 to help Russian-speaking immigrants settle in the United States. Pomogu helps with documents and translations, bank accounts, mobile phones, housing, work and childcare, referrals to trusted Russian-speaking professionals, and accompaniment to appointments and interviews in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Ruben earned a BA in Economics from Rutgers University in 2006.
In 2005, Ruben worked as a chef at Rendezvous, a Russian restaurant in Manalapan, New Jersey, and was pictured at work in The Star-Ledger's restaurant review of the restaurant. At Marlboro High School he earned the Senior Athletic Award for swimming, competing all four years. He later earned a BA in Economics from Rutgers University in 2006.
